What does Zoe Willis Design do?

We're a creative direction and interior design studio working on private residences and hospitality projects. Our work ranges from full renovations, overseen from first concept to final installation, to focused consultations, retained creative advice and Design Intelligence Reports for those considering a property purchase.

Where are you based?

The studio works between London, Dublin, Monaco and Sotogrande, with clients across the UK, Ireland and Europe. If your home is elsewhere, please do get in touch. Distance is rarely a barrier.

What sets Zoe Willis apart?

Zoe spent two decades in senior creative roles in fashion and luxury media before founding the studio, and that editorial eye shapes everything we do. Every project begins with the same question: not what should this space look like, but what should it feel like to live in it? Our work has been published in LivingEtc, House & Home, Home & Style, The Gloss and The Currency. Zoe was named in Homes & Gardens Next in Design 2026, and the studio received Houzz Best in Service four years in succession.

How many projects do you take on?

Deliberately few under Zoe Willis Design. We limit the number of commissions each year so that every client receives our full attention and complete continuity from start to finish. Through our sister brand, Studio ZW, we work with clients in a lighter-touch way, through Design Intelligence Reports, remote consultations, creative direction or ad hoc design and project support.

Do you work on hospitality and commercial projects?

Yes. Alongside private homes, we work on boutique hotels and hospitality spaces, and offer creative consultancy to developers, brands and property professionals.

Getting started

How do I get started?

Complete our contact form or email studio@zoewillisdesign.com to arrange an introductory call over Zoom. We'll talk through your goals, timeline and budget, and identify which of our services will serve you best. Your brief doesn't need to be fully formed. Early conversations are always welcome.

What happens after the introductory call?

If we feel we're the right fit for one another, the next step is a paid consultation in your home. This is where we come to understand how you live, what you love and what isn't working. You'll receive advice in real time, we'll begin a mood board together and start shaping a realistic budget around your ambitions.

Will I receive drawings or plans after the consultation?

No. Drawings and plans are produced once you've chosen to proceed with the full project, whether with us alone or alongside our trusted contractors.

Is there anything I should prepare before we meet?

Anything that helps us understand you: images of spaces you love, floor plans if you have them, a sense of budget and timing, and the pieces you couldn't imagine living without. It's just as useful to know what frustrates you about your home as it is to know what you love.

Our services

Can you take on my whole renovation from start to finish?

Yes. Creative Direction and Renovation is our complete service, covering concept, space planning, sourcing, construction oversight and installation, with a single, consistent vision throughout.

Can you help with a single room or one particular area?

Of course. Whether it's one room, a challenging hallway or an entire floor, our services are shaped around what you actually need.

Do you work with clients remotely?

Yes. Our Private Consultations take place virtually or in person, giving you access to the studio's eye wherever you are. They suit clients outside our locations, those who prefer to lead their own project, or anyone who would value a considered second opinion. We collaborate through video calls, email and digital presentations.

What is a Design Intelligence Report?

A considered reading of a property's potential: its spatial possibilities, the atmosphere it could hold and the renovation thinking it would require, together with an indicative budget. You complete a short questionnaire with photographs and floor plans, and the report draws on years of studio knowledge, finished with a personal brief written by Zoe. Reports are typically delivered within around 48 hours.

Who are Design Intelligence Reports for?

Primarily buyers who are drawn to a property but uncertain whether it can work for them, and estate agents who want to help buyers see what a home could become. They are designed to replace hesitation with a confident decision before you commit.

What is creative consultancy?

A retained advisory role for brands, developers and hospitality operators who want our design thinking applied strategically across interiors, brand and experience, without the studio managing full delivery.

Fees

How much do your services cost?

Fees reflect the scope of the project, the scale of the space and the level of detail involved. Renovation projects are priced per project or phase, consultancy by day rate or retainer, Design Intelligence Reports per report, and Private Consultations per session. You'll always receive a clear proposal before any work begins.

Do you offer product procurement?

Yes. Procurement means we source and purchase items on your behalf once you've approved them. We liaise with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery and any customs charges, and raise and settle invoices for you. This is charged as a management fee of 15% + VAT per item, or an agreed flat fee for multiple items.

What is product research, and is it included?

Product research is the time spent finding pieces that are on brief, suit the space and sit within your budget. We may present five options for a room, but behind those five there are often a hundred we've considered. Research for up to five items per room is included in your design fee unless otherwise agreed. Should you wish to see further options or alternatives, we're happy to provide them, subject to the additional fees set out in our terms and conditions.

Can I work with your trade contacts if I only need a little design support?

Yes. If it becomes clear that you need only light design input, or that your first priority is getting the build underway, we're happy for you to work directly with our trusted industry contacts. We will only ever recommend the level of design support your project genuinely needs.

The process

What can I expect once the project begins?

We develop a design concept from everything we learned during the consultation, present it for your feedback and refine it until it feels right. We then move into implementation, overseeing the agreed aspects of the project through to completion.

How long does the design process take?

This depends on the complexity of the project, supplier lead times and any planning requirements. We'll share a timeline at the outset and keep you informed throughout.

Can you work with furniture and pieces I already own?

We'd be delighted to. Pieces with history often give a home its character. We'll also give you an honest view where something won't serve the result you're after, and together we'll decide what stays, what's reworked and what moves on.

Do you handle renovation and building work?

We specialise in design and creative direction, and collaborate with trusted architects, builders and specialists for renovation and building works.

Are your builders and architects part of Zoe Willis Design?

No. They are independent professionals we have worked with and trust. Should you choose to engage them, your contract will be directly with them.

What happens if there are delays?

Even the best-run projects can meet the unexpected. We work closely with our partners to keep delays to a minimum, and if something does arise, we'll let you know promptly and come to you with solutions that limit disruption and cost.
