H A C K N E Y

Our fashion designer and performer clients approached us with a brief for a complete redesign of their kitchen. They a homely classic, rustic style and were looking for a design that worked for cooking and entertaining while remaining true to their artistic and eclectic style. The existing layout did not allow for reconfiguration and extending was not an option so we worked with the existing space to elevate the aesthetic of the ground floor.

ARTISANAL HEAVEN

An artisanal kitchen in a period apartment in Hackney transformed into a creative oasis for our fashion designer and performer clients.

Designed for cooking and entertaining while remaining true to the client’s artistic and eclectic style.

Pink plaster walls ensure the vibrant green handmade cabinets and curated vintage accents pop.

CREATING CONTRASTS

Marble checkerboard floor tiles and vintage Turkish rug add depth and warmth alongside reclaimed wood cabinetry and shelving.

Veined quartz sink side worktops compliment the old science lab counter on the opposite side.

A NEW PERSPECTIVE

To hide an unsightly boiler, reclaimed doors from a Victorian school were used to create a bespoke cabinet that looks like it has always been there.

DOWN UNDER

Reclaimed school desks make exposed shelving, complete with graffiti and marks from hiding the gum from teacher!

“Zoe designed us a simply beautiful kitchen that perfectly reflects our character and aesthetic. We were so impressed by her attention to detail when it came to understanding our style and interests - and how she folded this into a practical and original design. She had fantastic ideas and suggestions, and was always willing to take on board feedback and make changes. We just love her work and highly recommend to anyone thinking of using her.”
